About Mr. WrightHello everyone! My name is Mr. Wright and I teach Social Studies at Canton High School. I was born and raised in Canton Illinois where I also attended school and graduated high school in 2006. Upon graduation, I attended Monmouth College (Home of the FIGHTING SCOTS!). While at Monmouth College, I studied Education with a emphasis on History. Also, I enjoyed all four years playing football and spent my Junior and Senior years also running Track & Field. My student teaching experience was spent in Cuba, Illinois. Upon graduation from college, I was fortunate enough to earn a job in Havana teaching History. While at Havana, I went back to school for my Driver Education endorsement. This is my 10th year teaching and my 1st year at Canton High School. I am also the Head Football Coach. I look forward to working not only with all my students, but their parents as well to provide quality education for safe driving.

About My ClassroomMy classroom will be one that provides for the learning and growth of every individual that steps foot through the door way. Not only will the students grow over the course of the year, but I will also grow as a teacher and a mentor. I am a pretty "easy going" guy, but I do like when my rules are followed. If you follow the rules and respect me as well as other students in the classroom, things should run smoothly. It is my job to facilitate and coordinate the students learning. I am the final say on all things in my classroom. RESPECT is a big part of positive learning. To be a good citizen means you have many positive characteristics, RESPECT being a huge factor. You can find a word document file that will explain classrooom rules and expectations in more detail below.
